C4S What's is worth??
I think that the C4S is the greatest sports car deal out there right now. I got my 2003 (from a dealer) for $27.5 with a major and very professionally done and yet low-profile upgrade to an aftermarket stereo (big amp, touchscreen, nav, ipod, bluetooth phone, etc.). I LOOOVE my car - I can't believe I paid so little for it.
If you have one "on the ground" in Canada, they sell for $45,000 plus. As our dollars are basically at parity right now, if you live close to the border, try listing it on some Canadian craigslist / Kijiji sites - might be worth a try. If you indicate that you'll work with a Canadian guy to help them out with all the paperwork and whatnot, you can probably add to your bottom line. Unless you have it kitted out for track use, the color combination will probably put it at a discount.
Good luck with the sale, and all the best! Post some pictures.

I had an 02 C4S also in yellow and had a very difficult time selling it. Just not alot of buyers for that color. There are more silvers and blacks but also more buyers for thoise cars. Good luck with sale.
Just an Update: Based on the feedback from this forum, I was going to ask for a reasonable 37K for the car. However, I was able to trade-in the car on a new Mercedes and waggled 35K from them on a C300 Sport. I know it is not near a C4S, but the payment was 1/3 of my C4S and I am retiring soon, and need to get all my "ducks in a row" and a lower payment fit just fine. Yes I will miss my C4S Tip Cab, the best car I have ever owned. It had everything. I loved the car. My only complaint is that it rode like a rock and really was not suitable for long trips. But I know it is a sport car, but like I said, I am retiring, so a guy my age likes a smoothness to his ride. This was my 5th Porsche (57 356, 76 914 2.0, 02 Boxster, 04 Boxster S, and my 04 C4S.) Always wanted a Carrera and, by far it is much superior to the Boxster in all ways.
Looks like you got a great trade in value for your ride. I previously stated around mid 30's for private party sale but had no idea a dealer would give anywhere close to that amount. Hope you got a great deal on the new car as well.
