C4S What's is worth??
C4S What's is worth??
I am selling my 2004 C4S Cab, Tip, 37K, all the options (No Nav), excellent cond, no dents, dings, new Sumis, Speed Yellow/Black Int. What would be a fair asking price??
Im in the market for a C4S right now - I've noticed the Cab Tips go for a considerable amount less than the 6-Speed. From all the sites/dealers that I've seen in the past week, I would say your car will sell in the $29.5 -31.5 range.
This is strictly empirical, but I think you will get knocked down a little more on price because of the color. No offense intended, but I think yellow is more of an acquired taste compared to a more common color like silver or black, therefore may sit a little longer on a dealers lot.
30K or less is my vote.

Since your in Cali with a good portion of buyers looking for cabs or more eccentric people living out there that wouldn't mind the yellow paint, I'd say mid 30's if you wanna sell it fast. If you have all records and are original owner, I would say even high 30's if you don't mind sitting on it for awhile until you get that one buyer.
I just bought an 02 C4S--spent some time looking nationwide before my purchase. Most are listed from $32K- 37k, my experience is that they are currently selling for significantly less than that..if miles are low and if the condition is really good you should do somewhat better than $30k--but it may take time to sell..

Dealer Blue Book shows a lending value of $34,000 with an add'l add of $12000 for miles. That would be trade-in guide. Most Dealers disregard most of the miles add. So fair would be in the 38-42 range. Don't forget that this is a guide and many other things would affect it.

I'm with the other posters. Low 30s is realistic.
The last time I checked good clean 996tt were around $50k.
Just looked up 2004 c4s "coupe" on guide - Lending value was $31k, so add approx $3 for Cab and add some for miles and where are you. Again, there are a lot of variables, including competing with Santa Claus.
I am really happy with my C4S Cab, but would be first in line for a 2004 996TT, 37k miles @ $40k

The are 8 c4s cab tips on autotrader. Prices range from 36-59 with the average 46k. Keep in mind these are asking prices some are just unrealistic. If the selling price is 10% under the average asking, that puts the price around 42k. You may or may not be able to get this price, but it may give you a starting point. Make you own judgement based on what the person standing in from of you is offering, not Internet pseudo buyers.
Azaytsev recent purchase seems right on the money in my opinion.

Thanks to all for your imput. Just a few comments. First, The car has been maintained above and beyond all specifications. I have all records. Oil/filter have been changed every 5Kmi. It has a Fabspeed muffler, Fabspeed Cold air system and a Sprint booster ( all OEM parts available). It has never been tracked or raced. Beyond fore mentioned, it is completely stock. It is garaged and I am a non smoker and no smoking has every taken place in the car. The top is maintained yearly with sun protectant, however the top is usally down most of the time ( SO CAL). I realize that the Speed Yellow, is a little disconcerning to some, but the color yellow, looks great on a Porsche ( and has for the last 40 years). The Tiptronic S is a very responsive automatic and a dream to drive on freeways and in traffic. I know that most of the "buyers" on the Porsche Blogs are low ballers on prices ( $40K for an 04 Turbo.. get real). There were only a few Speed Yellow Cabs C4Ss made ( since 04 was the only year the 996 C4S Cab was made). I was told less than 20 of these exist today. Yeah, Black, Gray, Red are common, but I just felt that I wanted a car that was different than ALL the other Porsches on the road. So thanks for your comments, and I will set the sales price for about $..............

Can't put a price on beauty lol
