In order to fit, you would have to cut off the mounting brackets. I don't know if I could bring myself to hack away at speakers that cost $650 per pair! I'd like to hear these to see how they compare to the Infinitys (at $200 per pair).

Point noted...it was not ease, but we do them all the time...the first time we did them was in my own 911...and I was not happy hacking away at them, but they are amazing...

I did my sound system myself by allot of information from the members here especially Julian who's make my single 10" sub woofer enclosure fit in back seat.
I run 4" Rainbow vanadium for front dash (absolutely amazing speakers)
5" Focal subs in front door
4" Morel coaxial speakers in the rear
10" JL audio sub woofer
Alpine PDX-5 amplifier
Pioneer deh-p800 prs head unit (this HU is rocking!!!!!!!!)

and let me tell you i don't regret penny i spent for this. The sound is amazing even on super high volumes!
Of course you can go even better then this (focal utopia) but not necessary for this cars. They don't have the best sound stage cabin and its all about how much you wanna spent for your upgrade.
I recommend change all speakers and amp (with $1000) u will fit and the difference it will be awesome.

Question

are the dash speakers the same as the rear speakers? I found some for very cheap on ebay but they are listed as dash speakers?

Very nice setup and reasonable too. One thing I don't understand are the people that spend thousands of dollars on high end gear for their loud and cramped sports cars. You have both NVH and other noises working against you along with the acoustics of the car.

I would gladly put in DynaAudio's and McIntosh into a Lexus but can't see the point in putting it into my Porsche.

My $.02

I can certify that everything fits and the Infinitys were twice the side of the OEM (weight wise).
Does anyone have a link for said DIY?
