NY Auto Show Parking Question

Are there any garages near the Javits Center where I can self park -- such as NYC municipal garages?

Re: NY Auto Show Parking Question

There's a huge parking lot right across the Javits center. However, I do not know if that is accessable by the show comers. I'd say your best bet is to ride with a freind who is driving a not so nice of a car. Unless you have a POS beater you have to drive around.

For the jersey people...the ferry is your freind.

Just take the LIRR and be done with it and don't park the porsche at the station. That way you can drink after the show....

I may be coming up for the event, along w/ a few friends. Maybe we could organize a 6speed meetup and grab a beer afterwards?

Regards

Thanks guys. Normally, I'd just take the LIRR, but I'm planning on going with my wife and little girl. By driving, we can get home quicker when we're done, instead of waiting for the train.

Another thought, I noticed there's a garage at Penn Sta., where Hertz is, that looks large. Is that self-parking?

Thats the 1 penn plaza garage, it's self park most of the time unless they are very crowded. Also securtity for the parking garage can be a pain and they are also a very expensive lot compared to others. I use it when I'm in the city because my company is in the building.

What about the lot by the aircraft carrier is it selfpark?

Thanks Corey. The Intrepid parking is actually the Circle LIne garage next door, and it is self-park. I think that's a bit far, but I'll check out the location. It might not be any further than the Penn Plaza garage.
