Which wheel is stronger? 18" Carrera or Turbo Look II?

I am going to do most of my driving in suburban areas with bad roads - e.g. NYC, Washington DC. A dealer advised me that the 18" Turbo Look II was stronger than the Carrera wheel. Is this true? Any advice or tips?

Thanks

Can't speak for carreras, but I have Turbo II's, and drive all over NYC...no problems yet. I love the way the 18" Carreras look tho, and they are a much lighter wheel..

Wino, The Turbo Look II will be a stronger wheel than the Carrera Wheel, the design and structure of the outerlip is stronger on the Turbo II style than the Carrera, our dealer has a few Carrera wheels in the back that the lips are bent very hard.

Stronger

18" Turbo Look II is much stronger than the Carrera wheel. I have several Dr. Ed. cars with both Carrera & Turbo Look II. No Turbo II ever bent a few Carreras have. This was on track with Hoosier tires I don’t think you would have a problem on the street, but the 18" Turbo Look II is stronger
