Hey JAS...
So far I love the GT3. I am ashamed to say I only have 316 miles on the clock, but I was out of town from 9/15 to 10/5.
So far I love the power and I have hardly run it over the 4200rpm breakin limit. I have given it two short bursts to 6000rpm and the power delivery and sound is simply intoxicating. Relative to my 3.4L C2 there is a lot more power across the band.
The ride height is very low relative to my past ROW M030 996, but I have had no problems with scraping or bottoming out here in S. FL. I have yet to feel that the ride is harsh, but that depends on what you are willing to tolerate. I love the way it handles with minimal to no body roll, but I am lacking in twisty roads to really try it out on... need to pay a visit to Sebring once broken in. The clutch and shifter are stiffer, though they may ease up a little as it breaks in.
My 99 C2 was pretty much a stripper with no extra options, so I do not miss not having any PCM, PSM, traction control, nav, digital sound, etc... I am a bit cheesed about the cup holders, but I am still in denial that they really exist. I miss the custom stereo system from my 99, but that is not what the GT3 is about (IMHO) and I have no plans on changing that. In fact... I hardly listen to the audio at all and have yet to even use the CD player.
I did install the GT3 console delete along with a clear bra and clear side markers... that is about all I have planned for mods at this time.

Ditto, with only 200 miles so far, I have not listened to the radio while driving...The engine acceleration sound is music to my ears...

Sloth, Glad to hear you are enjoying the car, I have read great things about the GT3, I have yet to see one besides at the auto show and I am curious as to what the power and exhaust is like on the GT3, the GT2 has a nice tone but not too much, just put a Fabspeed (moderate) on the TT and it sounds great. Thanks for your response.

Ahhh, compared to a GT2 or TT...
I too found the stock TT & GT2 to have a pretty subtle exhaust note, the turbos do quiet the exhast quite a bit. There is little comparison as far as power goes between the two... the GT3 would feel anemic (as would any other 996) when coming from a TT or GT2. However, what the GT3 lacks in power it makes up for with instant throttle responce which only adds to the overall viceral feeling. Both cars have the same feeling of lightness and agility when compared to a TT or a C4s (IMHO of course).
