996 nb wheel offset question

Looking to purchase some quality used rims. According to internet search my off sets for 19" is front 44-50 rear 45-60
one person insists that techart oem front 40mm and rear 25 will fit and thats what he is running on his 996 nb???
Any ideas??

40 (assuming 8.5") on the front will fit
25 (assuming 11") on the rear is a widebody offset...will not fit correctly (will stick out way to far)...

techart's 19x11 et25 will only fit WB 996.

19x8.5 et 40 in the front
19x11 et 55 in the rear.
thats pretty close to the maximum you can get on a 996 NB mk2.

you can squeek out a little more offset or width depending on:
camber
ride height
tire size
brand / style of tire
rolling the lip

Rears are a problem. The OEM for a NB is 10x18, ET 65. So the rears you are looking at are 23 mm farther out before you account for another .5" of width. They will probably rub.

My aftermarket 19" rims are 19X8.5 52ET F; 19X10 52ET R. The front appears to be almost flush. Yet, the rear sits out about 1/2" in a good way with no rubbing issues. By this, I mean rear gives the illusion of a wide body P-car. Nonetheless, a minimal 57ET would have made the rear flush as well.
