Fluids Leak
Fluids Leak
I noticed some fluid leak when I backed out the garage this morning..Could this be a bad sign of water pump failure....There's also a leak on the left side above the header & it's motor oil..I'd just got the the oil pan replaced and now this,,,Arggggggggg
coolant dripping...the expansion tank was replace not long ago..so its not the tank

oil dripping on the left side right above the header

The motor oil on the headers look like its plug tube/orings. It's a little hard to tell where it's originating from though. It could also be the cam cover seals leaking. Another possibility is the AOS. It's on the driver side top or motor and would follow the block down on that side but looks like it's at the very posterior so unlikely.
t picture is definitely coolant. Could be the pump or the hose/clamp. I would dry off/clean the are and keep an eye to see if you can locate the leak. Probably the pump, but on an 00' the hoses are getting pretty old, and the OEM clamps (spring type) are crap.
The second picture is an oil leak. Could be a spark plug tube. Again, clean it up and then watch for new oil.

Besides, if you still on your original plastic impeller WP, I'd change it to a metal one...your cars 10+yrs old now

I will mention that to them....thanks..
If you are doing the WP, get a new thermostat also. Check all the pulleys at the same time with a new belt. Within a 6 mon period, I did water pump/thermo, soon after there was this squeak which turned out the be a upper tensioner pulley. Soon after Power steering seal gave up and started to leak(It probably was leaking before but no one noticed it). My crank pulley seal gave up a few weeks ago so I have to take it apart again. Labor wise it's not that much extra so have them spin the tensioner pulleys, check the PS pulley and visual for leaks and crank pulley also while you're at it.
