I was talking to one of the service guys at my local dealership and he was telling me about an ad in excellence where someone claimed to turn a 3.4 into a GT3 spec engine dose anyone know of this and what is the max i can push a 3.4 in performance ie: max rpm, new intakes and new cams and lifters?

 

Yes...9ff did it. Shaved heads, new cams, exhaust and engine management. Very cool.

however, the mods totaled $20K or more.

Cool, I am sure the R&D cost was built into that, heads, cams, exhaust and ECU should not total more than 10K....It could be an interesting alternative to supercharging.....Now on engine reliability and longevity? Who knows what efffect this will have on your engine....
