Request: VF-E Supercharged owners with AFR gauges

If you are out there, please show yourself...

Just a tech question, on my startup I noticed that my AFR is reading high at 15.6

Outside temp is about 6C and the car is obviously cold. I know a FI car will run rich on startup and lean out to idle at optimal temps.

No error codes or signs of sillyness, but just want to check to see if anyone saw this as well.

Not going to road test, so trying to do as much troubleshooting as possible with limited driveway running.

Cheers
Aaron

What are the readings when car is driven and warm. You can check for intake leaks and check connections. Do you have a Durametic tester?

As I said, can't road test it yet at this point.

I also have a boost/vacuum gauge and it is reading great, so doesn't appear to be any leaks there. I have a Durametric tester, why I know there are no engine codes.

Perhaps I'll have to wait for further testing when I can get it back on the road...

Cheers

Your car will not see steady boost pressure until it is under load so a good shake down is a good idea. As a side question which part of the SC intake houses the MAF is it the one closest to the SC just for my own info?

Yes, boost under load, vacuum at idle... I see vacuum at idle and it is within range so it looks like vacuum leak isn't an issue.

I replied to your PM, its just after the filter.

Can you take a picture of the sensor installation?

Those afrs are normal for idle. I think I see like 14.6 give or take at idle. I have a aem uego gauge type analog on my column. If you need a deifate answer I will yank the cover and start it up tonight if you would like.

The picture of my install is in my 6speed post in my sig...

No need to go to all that effort. I'm thinking its just a rich initial start-up condition. Yet another reason why they say to get these things up to temp before driving them hard with a SC.

Cheers
