Agency Power Short Shifter & Shift Linkage Installed. Have some concerns.

I just installed the unit and I have to say, DAMN is it notchy!!! Getting it into reverse is a chore, but I guess that's a good thing as there is no possibility of shifting into reverse by accident.

Also for those of you who also installed the shift linkage, are any of you having issues with the bottom of the linkage rubbing on the plastic portion of the shift base? The rubbing isn't hard, and I don't think it's affecting the shifting, but it's definitely happening...... Perhaps I didn't hammer the linkage onto the pivot ball hard enough, which would cause it to sit a bit lower......? It looked like it was in there pretty good, but the linkage angles upward from the pivot ball to where it links on the cable. It doesn't sit flat like the oem linkage did. Hmm.....

Also when shifting from 2nd into 3rd, the unit doesn't spring back into the middle position as fast as the oem unit. Is this because it is metal and a lot heavier? It definitely moves back, but I feel like I always have to have a firm grip on it and keep it under control 100% of the time.

My overall review so far: I like it a lot, BUT, this is definitely not a mod for the "lazy" driver. This thing takes a lot of work to operate..... Perfect for my track car conversion lol.

I cannot comment on what you installed but I will say, if you want to change to a shorter throw shifter then spend the money and get the Porsche OEM 997 SSK (IMHO). Bolts right in and is an awesome improvement over stock. And it is not notchy... Just my opinion but I thought I would share.
