Hi all!

My 996 has the original "Hi-Fi sound system" (#490) fitted, which in addition to door speakers should include an extra amplifier. To be honest, I´m not that impressed with the sound and concider to upgrade.

Where is the amp located?
What is the rating of the original amp?

It´s not to be seen in the luggage compartment by the CD-changer or "under the floor" by the spare. (C4)
It would be nice to know before I start tearing away panels, tracing wires...

Anybody have a tip on good speakers for 996 Coupe?

Hi Fi Amp was under passenger seat in the 993, not sure on the 996 may be a good place to look though.

 

Look under the hood......

Remove your "plastic".....
