Question Option Code Descriptions

Can anyone point me to a description of the option codes (ie; 6G) and what they actually mean. I'm hoping tommorow's the day that my disease gets enhanced as I make the way into the Porsche land from BMW land. I will be going to an auction with a dealer friend and have a lot of homework to do with about 16 car's targeted to bid on. Oh yeah, it'll be more than likely a 1999 or 2000. Your help will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks. I found that after I posted however either I have wrong descriptions of option codes or the site is down. Examples of the codes that my friend sent me are 6G, 6S, AC,CC,DL, EW etc.. I'm not sure what's messed up.

Thumbs up

Never mind. I just spoke to my buddy who said that those descriptions are what they use to describe the options. If I would of put my mouse on the text I would have seen the description pop up at the top. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be an owner of a porsche..

As a licensed dealer myself (one of my businesses is a used car dealership) I take it you're going to the Manheim Exotic in PA. (Bought my Porsche there too). It's a good auction although you really need to be very prepared when going there. Get there at least 2 hours before they open, pick out "the one" that you will buy before the auction starts and be prepared to pay over Galves wholesale for the options you want. The advantage you have is that this is "off-season" for these cars in this part of the country. Good luck, and if you need any final tips before the big day, feel free to PM or email me!

Regards,
Gil

Randy,

My apologies for not getting to it on time. By this time you will already be there. I can gaurantee you one thing, unless you have limited funds, you WILL always go over your intended budget! When you see all those nice cars there's no avoiding stretching for the one you want. I go with many people and they always spend more then they wanted, it's the nature of the beast!

All the best down there!

Gil
