18x12 is impossible on an NB.
18x11.5 et 65 might be possible on a mk2 NB.

18x11 et 60 fits easily.

 

It is possible. 18x12 +63mm 8.98" Back spacing. I talk to CCW in Florida. They say GT3's run them. I just want to see some pictures...

 

I don't think you will have the same fender liners and suspension geometry of a gt3, but I'm not sure.

I had 11s on my lowered NB and it rubbed the inside liner in two places and I had to roll the outer fender.

 

It all depends on the offset. CCW says they run 12's on 911 and 911 GT3.

 

You are right. 18x12 is possible on a NB GT3 but not a non-GT3 NB unless you do this:

I'm running 18x11 et 51, 295 tire on my mk2 NB 996, US M030, camber -1, non rolled lip and it is at the absolute limit laterally in terms of clearing the fender under compression. So I estimate that 18x12 et 63 would not clear the fender under compression (i.e. stick out too far) by 13 mm.

You will have an ever more difficult time since mk1 rear suspension is less accomodating than a mk2 rear suspension in terms of wide wheels.

 

So a 55 offset would rub.

 

I use 11 wide, 65 offset with a 295 tire. No rubbing issues, but i'm not sure there is room enough for another 1". Mine is lowered on Pss9's.
