Question on Mods - Ruf Aero Kit or 19" wheels first?

I'm trying to decide which mod to do first and I'd like to solicit opinions. I recently had my H&R springs installed and I preparing for my next mod, the problem is that I am only prepared to do them in stages with either the Ruf Aero kit plus paint and installation, or a set of 19" IForge Swifts with tires (obviously). Given that there will probably be several months between mods (keep the wife happy) I can't decide which to do first.

Will the Ruf Aero kit look out-of-place with the 17" Carrera wheels? I really love the look but think it may really understate the car/kit. On the other hand, I prefer the 19" wheel setup with a body kit as I'm not overly keen with 19" wheels on a stock body. I guess the other option is just waiting altogether until I can do both.

Any input greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Gerardo

I would say go with the wheels first... and it should make a good combination with your suspension set-up..

You can always add the kit afterwards...

Thanks for the response. I'm thinking about totally pis*ing off the wife and doing all at once, but the operative word is "thinking". I've got Spring fever and of course the forums are driving me to this -- it really is addictive but then I love it!

Thanks again!

Pissing off the wife illustrates at lack of rational thought, even though the mod bug bites hard. Go with the wheels first, IMO

as others have stated: wheels first. there is no describing how much better the car looks with a lowered stance; IT IS STILL THE BEST MOD I HAVE DONE.

I'd probably drop an exhaust in next...

btw, if you're planning on keeping the car for a while, i have found a great pleasure in getting things done over time. for me my initial likes/dislikes have changed dramatically. that being said, the RUF aerokit would be a great addition.

I also would throw away the car in a heartbeat if my marriage was affected, maybe that why i have the greenlight on a 360 .

happy modding.

Thanks guys for the response to my question. I did a fairly crude cut and paste with a RUF Aero kit with stock wheels and no way, wheels first. Thanks again. BTW just kidding about the wife thing, although she doesn't understand (would never happen), she's very tolerant. The 996 is my second, first with a '78 911SC heavily modified (engine, trans, body, wheels) and although she couldn't get it, she handled it okay other than not ceding her side of the garage. No desire to ride in the cars and I thought the 996 would be different -- nope. Go figure. Anyway, I really appreciate the input. I'm compelled to go with the RUF 19", but there's lot out there too that I like (e.g., IForge). I'll post the pic with results soon.
