Looking for recommendation - keep my 997.2 C4S PDK or get a 996 TT?

Looking for recommendation - keep my 997.2 C4S PDK or get a 996 TT?

I've tried reading up on all the different internet forums as well as doing searches on this forum, and have found some good posts, but as time (and prices) change, so does the equation.

I have a 2009 C4S PDK sport chrono nav etc. that I bought in May of '09.

I am considering swapping this car out for a 2003 996 TT with X50 and PCCB that just came into the dealership. I am not opposed to modding a car to get what I want, but am looking for a "sportier" ride. Is the 996 TT more of a sports-edged car than the 997.2, or is it even "gentler" as a DD?

Car will not be doing track days (at this time), will be my DD (only car), but I definitely enjoy going out of the way for winding roads.

Just looking for opinions from folks that might have "gone back to the dark side" of a 996TT, or held off upgrading. I wish I could find a Gt3 in my price range to test alongside the TT to help make my decision easier.

Personally I would only upgrade to a 997

Thanks Tonka, that's a good thing to keep in mind. Upgrades are upgrades for a reason.

If you want sportier, get a GT3. It is much sportier than the Turbo. A 996 GT3 might not be a 996 GT3... but it is a GT3. Can't go wrong. Go to dealer and drive one and post results. It is something else.
