New owner - My Lady

I am a new proud owner of a 2002 966 which will be my DD. It only had 15,000 miles on it and I had to jump on her. I bought her about two weeks ago!

I have been reading here and learned some stuff. Did the garage door opener mod and got rid of the cassette holder and put the shelf in its place.

Now I want to give her a deep mean voice. Cost might slow me down

Wow that's crazy how low the miles are on that thing. Not always a good thing as I'm sure people will chime in on here. Take advantage of the site and have fun with the car!

Copper. Welcome to the board! Great looking car.

I actually just got an Arctic Silver '02 C2 as a daily driver as well.

Those guys up at Porsche of North Houston are GREAT. Really the best dealership in Houston if not all of TEXAS.

Good luck with the new ride and hope to see you around!

Oh and let me know if you need a reco for a shop here in Houston. A few have worked on my previous cars and I'll give you some info on each.

Let me know when you're going to start tinkering with the car. I may be adding some similar mods to mine. Maybe we can get a BOGO discount or something .

I would love to get a Fister 996/997 Sport Muffler, But I will have to wait. If only money grew on my Trees, I would spread the wealth. Really I would!

Sounds good... What is a reco?

Sorry. I got lazy. Reco = recommendation.

Have heard good things about Lawell.

I brought my 997TT to the guys at Motorwerks and they are nothing but first rate. Akram is probably the most knowledgeable guy in Houston when it comes to water cooled (996 & 997) P-cars. They are on 59 and Bunker Hill.

What part of town are you in?

Hi Copper,

Nice ride, welcome to the forum. That is my favorite color. I've been to Porsche of North Houston in the last few weeks and I think I saw your car there. Very nice! You should've have them install the front plate holder (I know, it blows), they did that for me back in December.

My car is in The Woodlands (I'm currently residing overseas), I hope to make it to one of the PCA coffees at Market Street soon. See u there!

Welcome Copper hope to see you at some of the Lone Star PCA events. The Performance Driving school is the best $100 you can spend on your car.
