Cabriolet question to cab owners

Hi... i am trying to figure out if your rear windows on the cab go up...
On my 03 cab the rear windows don't go up when the soft top is down but when i put the hard top on they go up.... I thought maybe when the top is down the window is blocked and thats why it doesn't come up but if that was the case it wouldn't come up when the hard top is on either... so the question would be is your 996 rear window go up??? i saw a 997 yesterday and his rear windows were up, and i kind of like the way it looks...Let me know...thanks.

The rear windows do not go up when the top is down. I believe that this was done for safety, as the rear windows are pointed, like shark teeth.

pterfloth is infamous around these parts
If you stick your finger in the hole where the top latches to depress the contact you can manually raise the rear windows when the top is down.

You do need to take care that you don't get hooked on the rear windows when getting in or out.

if you install the SMARTTOP you can operate the rear windows with the top down. however, you really need to make sure you don't have the front ones down and the rear ones up. Not because it's bad for the car, or that it's dangerous as mentioned above, but more because it looks really lame :-) you often see people in rented mustangs driving along like that.

Yeah, you better off driving with windows down specially in a freeway. You'll get stones in your face.. perhaps... and freeze if cold... perhaps... but you'll look cool.. right?

Thanks guys. i was just curious about it... it's not important if it goes up or not but i think it's odd that it didn't.... Anways as for the cold i live in Canada and not much warm weather here so i take the top down anything around 10 celcius but Afletch above was talking about people that had the front windows down and the back windows up that looks lame not people with all windows up and i think it does look a little odd.....
