Open Hood ???

My 2003 C4S has been in storage all winter. For saftey reasons I disconnected the battery, closed hood and locked car. Now I can't open the hood (electric) to get at the battery. Can anyone tell me how to open the hood without power

sorry but there is nothing you can do. need to get a new car, and make sure this time the battery does not die, otherwise repeat...

Use your key and open the door. Look for the fuse box, you can jump your car there. On e you jumped your car everything should be back to normal.

Adding on to Gotnem108's post:

There's a lug in the fuse box that can be used to open the frunk lid in cases where the battery dies. You connect a battery charger--a manly one, not a trickle charger--to that lug (it's red on my '02 C2 cab and has a picture of a battery on it) and a ground, like a door latch. The owner's manual explains it all. This process may not work with a disconnected battery, which creates an open circuit; you'll have to try it and see.

If that fails, then there is a manual release wire. Location varies by model year but is located inside one of the front wheel wells, behind the liner. Based on what I've read, start with passenger-side. There are threads here and on other Porsche forums (renntech, rennlist) that have photos of what you're looking for. Here's one I found that may be helpful:

Let us know what works. Good luck.
