hey guys, have any of you had this prob and been able to resolve it? the local dealer is about to order a clutch slave cylinder in an effort to get rid of the squeak.... is this too drastic? any info on how you guys have resolved it would be very healpful, thanks

well, if the squeak is coming from the gearbox then it's the slave. you can have them lube the linkage, it may work. if it's coming from inside the cabin then its the pedal assembly. it may need some lubing too. if the squeak is in the front under and outside of the car then it may be the master cylinder.

check with your service advisor for any relating TSBs. i recall there was one about a clutch pedal squeak and the solution for it.

Common problem, it's the spring. There's a TSB for it.

On my old 996 they lubed it a couple of times and finally had to replace it. Already having the same issue with the GT3 at only 6 months. How can Porsche screw up something so simple?...not exactly new technology.
