Help: sore left foot.

Recently I've had to push the clutch pedal in with nearly all my weight to get my 996 to key start. In the past I only needed to lightly engage the clutch to key start. Does anyone know if the sensor is electrical or mechanical? Is it fairly easy to adjust?

Help, I'd rather have a sore right foot from driving my Porsche than a sore left foot!

this is elementary, I know, but...

you may want to make sure that the floor mat is all of the way out from behind the travel of the pedal. Mine gets crammed in there sometimes and is tough to start/won't start

I'd suggest that it's a pretty good habit to depress your clutch completely when starting any car - obviously/hopefully you're starting it out of gear but I can't imagine not learning to drive a car in the first place where you are going to have the clutch pressed all the way in at start up. Then of course there's the other great habit I see a lot in the US of riding the clutch on hills or to remain stationary. People complain about wearing clutches out - I wonder why!
