New C4S owner, need some help
Hey guys,
I am a usual in the Cayenne Forum, but since I traded that in on a C4S yesterday, I am sure they cant help me as much as you guys can. Anyways, I got a 2005 C4S Seal with Grey Interior, and I am wondering what are some necessary upgrades on the car. It is a 6 Speed. Thank you for your help.

For performance I suggest the Evo/GIAC ECU upgrade available from Evolution Motorspoorts as well as their new Evo intake. Couple that with a Porsche Sport Exhaust and you will have a different car.
I also recommend a short shifter kit.

Some decent sounding mufflers and a SSk, that's it! If you get the track bug big time go for the x73 suspension upgrade, but yours is great out of the box. Coil overs are a pure bling waste of money on that car IMO
No other NA 996(non GT series) puts the power to the ground like the C4S!

Out of the box, the car handles like no AWD car I've ever been in. If you drive it right, you get a hint of oversteer on corner entry, full 4-wheel drifts with no PSM intervention, then perfect hookup once you get back to WOT. Fantastic. The only thing I could have benefitted from was more power for the straights, and exiting tighter corners. The EVO SC upgrade might just have done the trick.
So, for utility, unless you've got a lot of track experience, it's more car than you (or I) can fully exploit, so performance add-ons are relatively unnecessary (except for more power). Everything else is aesthetics, so go for your personal preference. Personally, I love the stock wheels, but a lowered 911 looks badass.
When I bought my C4S, I slapped in a PSE with the electronics and a B&M SSK. Than I tinted the windows with a quality tint to help keep the UVs and heat off the leather. I also installed a clear bra on the front and some new rims and tires. The number one mod, of all is a V1! Oh, don't for get the 6speed tag frame.
By the way, we both have the same colors!

I appreciate all of the help guys. I installed a Porsche Short Shift Kit yesterday, (which I believe is just the B&M with a Porsche Logo) and I love it. It really does help the way the car feels.
I checked with our parts department on the PSE and it is extremely expensive. I wont be keeping this car for more than about 6 months, and I don't know if I should do this or not? Is there anyone out there just selling them dirt cheap!
.
Anyways, thanks for your help, and I will also say that the SSK is a very important mod.
