Massachusetts option?

Hello All,

New to the forum. Owned a '95 911 in the past. Looking for a reputable Massachusetts / New Hampshire dealer that would be able to get me a '99 - 2003 C2 or C4 at a reasonable price. Anyone advice much appreciated.
Thanks

If you mean a Porsche dealer, 99-03's might be in short supply. I bought mine in a private sale. A lot, if not most used car dealers cannot speak in an educated manner regarding Porsches. I did my homework and knew what questions to ask and all of the used car dealers came in woefully ill prepared to answer any of my questions. Find a private sale, do a PPI and do not be afraid to go out of state. Also, buy the newest one you can afford, but, a 2001 turbo could be close to a 2003 C2 in cost. Check the local PCA for the prefered independant garages and give them a call, they may no of someone selling a car.
Good luck;
James Greer

Thank You, GreerJ1. By "private sale", I assume you mean Classifieds? Ever hear of "www.europeanlocators.com?

I bought my car from Inskip down in RI. No problems with my purchase but I do not bring the car to them for services as I don't want to drive an hour away to get things done. I've had my car serviced at Westwood Porsche a few times before I found my Indy. Good luck with the search.

The European locators will do the legwork for you and you will pay a premium (or the seller will and be passed on to you). Half the fun is the search. You are looking for an unremarkable 911 of which there were 10's of thousands made. A seach on Autotrader or here on this website and a plethora of samples will show up.

Inskip had a 996 narrow body for 35 a few weeks ago when I was up there. They price a little high.
I would say go with a private sale.
