For those still not comfortable performing a DIY on these headlights, or paying top money to have them restored, I found a nice, reasonably (as in cheap) priced place in Burbank, CA.

get them wrapped with 3m clear film asap, so it wont haze up again.

 

When I had my 535i wrapped with the clear protective bra, the installer told me that the wrap does not protect against uv light fade?

Anybody heard different or have had a different experience?

 

make sure you get UV film and not just clear vinyl wrap.

 

the 3m kit works wonders...did my wife's clk 500 and the headlights look NEW...$19...

the haziness over time is the result of baking of particles onto the plastic lenses. With paint protection film over the lights, it will eliminate this problem.
