Garaging my C4Cab for awhile :-(
So looks like the law's caught up with me finally - was caught on camera doing 46km/h over back in early May. Tomorrow, I have to surrender my license for 60 days (unless I pay money and attend a 2 day retraining of which they'd halve down to 30 days).
And next month I have to go to court to grovel so that they'd minimise the speeding actual fine.
On a more positive news, my vampire electronics seems sorted itself out. I went for vacation for 2.5 weeks, started my car this morning and it turned! First time in 3-4 years! Usually if I'd leave my car unused for more than a week, I had to recharge my battery get a new one.
Now if only they took my license away before I went on vacation...

Wow, I thought our laws were though... Cops take your car on the spot if they catch you going 40 kph above the speed limit - but they have to catch you - no cameras here. Maybe you should go on another vacation!

Japan wasn't very strict a mere 4-5 yrs ago. I would be able to travel around 150-180km/h & they wouldn't really mind. I used to overtake cop cars too and they don't give the attitude I'd use to get back in Oz.
In latter half of the past decade though, they've become somewhat more strict...I've been caught twice in the past 9 months (1st was 20km/h & 2 points over, and the 2nd was 46km/h & 6 points over - you get 6 points so I shot way over). However despite being more strict with the law, their attitude are somewhat still very polite which I'm grateful for.
Oh yes, despite my car license being suspended, I still can track if I want to too. The Fuji Speedway track is a different license . But i just need to get someone to take me there and back.
