What is your idle (cold and warm)?

What is your idle when cold (cold starts) and warm (operating temp)

I'm in California, and my cold start is at 850-900RPM warm is at 450-500RPM.

I'm asking if this is a normal RPM idle in weather between 70-90F degrees.

Out of curiosity, how do I adjust the idle higher or lower?

Thanks guys!

I live in Florida and I have the same levels for my car when either cold/warm.

As for the idle change question, I haven't a clue.

Mine too is unchanged regardless of cold or hot.

I do not believe that it can be adjusted manually. The DME controls it.

My cold idle is a bit high around 1200 RPM, then it will go down to 700~800 RPM after 1 or 2 minutes....

Same as Funnel's...cold idle approximately 1100 rpm, warm idle about 700-800. That's on an '02 which comes with an egas (not cable) throttle...the '99 and earlier cars had a different engine computer and cable-actuated throttle

It might be worth your mentioning model year, transmission (manual or tip), etc.

As for idle speed--if you have a non-egas car then there's an idle air control valve assembly that hangs off the side of the throttle body. It's responsible for controlling idle speed. It can be carefully removed and cleaned if the idle's off. See here: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic...his-parts-for/

Good luck

Year is 1999. I think that this idle is too low. 50-900RPM warm is at 450-500RPM.

Sounds like it's time to break out the carb cleaner and give the throttle body and idle air control valve a good cleaning. Getting the gack out from those areas may well solve the problem. Good luck.
