Wierd Electrical Issue 2003 C2 Cab

I was hoping someone can shed some light on a some strange issues with my 2003 C2.

My wife called today and said the blower was not working for the A/C. After I made sure she had pushed the buttons for the center vents, I told her it was probably a fuse.

My son just brougtht the car home from a date and the lights would not not come on (only parking lights). Not only that, the dash keeps saying key is in the ignition.

I took a look at it. With ignition on, no headlights, but the blower works. When I start it, blower dies. Still no lights. When I turn off and remove key, the radio stays on and it says key in ignition. Plus, key is very hard to get in or out of ignition.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance. I hate to put my car in the shop for the weekend!

Walter

+1 ignition switch...DIY from suncoast will run max $15.00 and 45mins of your labor (most of which is you getting under the dash by the pedals.)

Thanks for the replies.

I hate to admit that I wimped out, but I had my son drop it off at the indy near my house to put in an upgraded assembly. I would love to have done it myself, but I wanted my car for this evening and I had plans (work related) for the weekend.

Have a good weekend!
