Just to be really sure :-) which of these do you actually spray the electronics cleaner on? I don't want to short out anything.

This. Both sides, especially the center hole on the other side so that it can get inside of the switch. Turn the **** a multiple times to get the cleaning fluid all around the contacts inside and let the switch drain/dry before reattaching it.

Just to update the thread. Yes the electronic cleaner worked!! :-) its like new and headlights now turn on immediately. No flickers and no delays! Thanks all.
