Question What does this mean? (Dashboard)

Just noticed a green indicator light on my dashboard. What does it mean?

Also, when I drop the e-brake and put the car into Drive (Tiptronic), the gear changes from 1 to 2 after a second.

Any ideas guys? I'm getting the car serviced this Friday or Saturday for its 2 year maintenance service anyways. It's been due since last month!

Thanks guys!

Green light is because you have the cruise control on. That's what that is.

In tips, when you are in automatic, it does go to 2nd. You could force 1st in manual. It "does not use it".

Joined in 2009 and just now saw the little green light! It's your cruise control indicator light. The little arrow signifies that you have set a particular speed on the speedometer.

Too funny.

DON'T tell your tech that you need the light checked out or they will have $$$$ in their eyes!!

Lol! All cars usually use the green indicator light for cruise control. Should've thought of it. FACEPALM. Just wanted to be sure! Thanks fellas! I probably hit it by accident when I was cleaning the interior. Too indeed!

Thanks for letting me know about the how the tip automatically switches off to 2nd. I'm seriously losing it.
