Instrument cluster compatability

Will a 1999-2001 C2 instrument cluster work in my 2002 C2 cabriolet?

I think 2002 was the year Porsche switched to the MOST Bus system and the older clusters are not compatible.

Do you know if I buy a used 2002 cluster, does it have to be reprogrammed by the dealer for it to work?

This should be plug in and play. Depending on the options of the car it might need to be coded with the PIWIS.

I believe 2003 was the switch to the MOST system, but I have no idea if the instrument clusters are interchangeable with earlier cars.
