The New Porsche Project

Introducing the iForged Project Car for 2005. Last year we did a Supercharged Widebody 996. This year we are working on a custom Speed Yellow 997 C2.

Car was just fitted with the new JIC-Magic Cross Race Coilover Suspension. I had the suspension on the 996 and I loved how it rode after it was setup correctly. The kit comes with upper pillow mounts, front camber adjustment, height adjustment, and dampening adjustment. John at JIC lowered the car, setup the dampening and rebound, and did an amazing job at aligning it and corner balancing the car. The car is fitted with 20" Hyper Black iForged Daytonas with 245/30/20 and 305/25/20 Conti Sport 2 Tires. The front rims are 8.5" wide with a 2.5" lip. The rear rims are 11" wide with a 4" lip. Currently the car handles on rails, and is just mildly stiffer than the stock suspension.

Next up for the car is Tech Art Body Kit, a new wing, and hopefully an EVO Supercharger. Here are some current pics of it. Enjoy, and we will post more pictures of the progress over the next few months. Expect to see the car at the SEMA show in Nov.

That is one sexy beast.

Please keep us updated as your project progresses as we all enjoyed the widebody 996 project.

I am thinking about it, though I like the classic lines of the 997.

Vince: beautiful setup and the Techart has done an amazing job on the 997 kit. I am sure it'll turn out beautifully. Good luck.

Good job Vince...please keep us updated with the progress. I also prefer the classic lines of the 997 over a widebody.
