Not that this is common, but Flat6 says that the only broken cranks they have ever seen where on engines with LWFW's.
I heard he's coming out with an early warning system that you can buy. A buzzer goes off just before your crank breaks....

I'll tell you that I do like the transfer of power on the Alum LWFW. The problem is that it rattles like crazy at idle. People say that it's not that bad. I have a 2002 C4 Cab. I hear it at a light or idling the car with the clutch out. If you ever heard a GT2 for the track, it sounds just like that. It is noisy as heck.

Also when pulling a hill or under load, below 2000 RPM on acceleration, it will rattle.

Besides that, the transfer of power is nice and the pull is great.

When I need a new clutch, I will go back to the stock DM flywheel.
