input on the EVO supercharger please

This is someting that I am seriously considering. For those of you that have it, or know about it, I wanted to get your input as far as reliability and driveability. Is it consistant? Is it worth it? Any problems I should know about? Thanks in advance since I cannot reply to posts....

did it, love it, would do it again. Power is smooth and linear.

Kirby: how much power gain? hp/torque? how long have you had it? how many miles have you used it? do you lose warranty?

I echo what Kirby said. Would definitely do it again. I have about 2500 miles on mine. It is smokin'!

If you have a 3.4L I believe the hp is around 420. Drivability isn't an issue. I have the 3.6L so it's 470 hp...

The ONLY problem is if you are in Cali, it's not CARB certified yet. Soon I hope, soon.

good point, but i'm not as sure about the "soon" part. the manufacturer told me back in Q4/03 (when it was installed) that it would be ready Q1/04, then summer 04, then i sold my car in the fall a year after the install (to an out of state buyer because it wouldn't pass CA smog).

x-ricer: Also love mine. Same as Robyn, 3.4 liter so around 420 HP, no reliability problems, very smooth power comes on just under 3k rpm's. Better gas mileage if i'm not driving crazy as well. Had mine for almost 1 1/2 years. Good luck.

yeah I would get/would have gotten one but the anti smog provision is a deal breaker period.

Do it! You will not be disappointed. I absoulutely love mine. Power is linear and there are no turbo like surprises in power. It is like having a n/a big block stuffed under your hood. There are absolutely no driveability issues, car will behave and drive as smoothe as stock.... Good Luck!

Rob, I have known you since your S4 days, and I know you are a horsepower junkies. You defintely need to get the supercharger. 370 RWHP with my 19x14's. My rear wheels barely fit on the Dyno.

I like the idea of supercharging, however, for those who still have warranties on their car is the mod worth it? ...at least wait until the warranty expires?

The warranty is a HUGE luxury to have while owning a P-car and the idea of adding a supercharger and voiding that warranty is a big turn-off.

Regardless, I can see myself contemplating a SC once the warranty expires, but until then it would be tough to do....

Any addt'l thoughts? I'm curious to hear differing views.

I was supposed to go to the track on Tuesday but I had to cancel because of my work schedule. Believe me, I desperately want to know the times also..

check out EVO's website, they should have a list of authorized dealers or you can have your car shipped to them like I did. Good luck!
