Going up in size

Hey folks looking for advice on going up in size
I'm currently running 285/30-18 in the back of my 04 anniversary with the stock shot blasted rims. The books states an optional size of 295/30-18.
I've been told by other owners that they will fit, however what am I gaining going to the larger size?
Thanks

An overall diameter a bit closer to OEM 265/35/18 of 25.30". For example: 285/30/18 = 24.73" vs. 295/30/18 = 24.96". Though many folks run 295's on a 10" rim; a 10.5" rim would be best. Personally, I would remain 285 a 10" rim. Good luck.
