Just had my c4 cab in for check engine, Pulled code myself and had po495 and po430. Took it in they smoke tested for leaks found none so only thing they thought it could be is mass air, replaced it light went off for about 150 miles back on again!! Help please....

 

P0430 is for catalytic converter efficiency and has almost nothing to do with the mass airflow sensor or smoke tests. Find a competent shop to actually diag. these codes. The cat. efficiency can be checked by comparing oxygen sensor activity before and after the cat. I've never heard of a P0495 on a Porsche before. Good luck and let us know what happens.

 

Not sure if I have the right code number but it is for the sencondary air pump bank two. smoke tested no leaks only other thing I can think of is the port has some blockage. Is this a common issue?

 

P0430: Three Way Catalyst Conversion, Bank 1 - Above Limit

P0495: Fan Speed High
