BTW, I kept the cassette tape holder . . . it's in storage with a box of actual cassette tapes. Mostly mix tapes from high school . . . ahhh, the good old days.

I went with the 80PRS head unit for a few reasons,

1. price
2. adjustable face colors
3. 13 band EQ
4. single DIN = minimum mess to install
5. sound quality and autotune feature
6. bluetooth iphone streaming
7. actual CD player! You would be surprised how many don't have that

I looked at just about every possible HU from every brand I could find. CD player, EQ and single din were the minimum requirements I had.

I do like the idea of Bluetooth and Pandora - just wish there was a single DIN that could colour match to the Porsche "orange" instruments and stay there without the Honda Civic Star Wars disco stuff. Can that be disabled?

In the DEH-80PRS there are two colors that are very close I forget the exact names. One is called AMBER I think. But ultimately you can make any color that you want if you know the RGB codes.

Has anyone seen these subs? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...08LG-W3v3.html
I've been trying to find an off the shelf sub/box combo that will work for our cars.
I haven't done measurements but just by eyeballing the back it seems it would be a great fit. At 11" it is probably a little tall but maybe still do-able!

RobboT: I may join you with the 80PRS. Can you totally disable the Star Wars/disco light show?

PS: This app will find the perfect Porsche RGB colour match: I think R204-200, G101-87, B10 is close..
