Greetings! First post. I just purchased a nice used 1999 C2. The info on this and other forums has been incredibly helpful. Thanks in advance to everyone whose postings will help me in my ownership experience.

I am looking for a source for an Owners Manual for my 1999 996 C2 Tiptronic coupe. It is too old to be available as a pdf file. And I have not found one from any of the "usual suspects". Does anyone know where I can find this? There's a few functions that I have not yet sorted out, and it would be helpful.

As an alternative, I have found a 2001 OM for sale. It seems to me that it should be pretty close. What does everyone think of that? Am I right or wrong in that assumption?

Welcome. Check with Suncoast Porsche, they may be able to get one for you. Also watch Ebay and Craigslist. A manual from 2001 will be mostly applicable to your car. While nice to have, most of the relevant information you need can be found here or on Renntech.org, and members will be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Call L.A. Porsche Dismantler. They get their hands on every model of Porsche and would likely have what you seek.

 

I tried Suncoast. eBay shows several full sets of manuals with pouch for $200-300, and just the Owners Manual alone for $100 and up.

I have not heard of LA Porsche Dismantlers before. I'll give them a try. Thanks!
