Man am I glad to be here

Officially probably the newest guy on this site as i just joined tonight. P car fan for life, it was finally time. Basically ready, fire, aim, as in i bought it without mentioning to my wife. I had hoped the old adage of forgiveness easier than permission would hold up for me- it did and she was begrudgingly defiantly happy for me, she can't stand that my 3 year old only wants to ride in "daddy's race car". 2004 996 Coupe, 46k miles, pretty stock except short shift kit (which i love), flared rockers, a few other niceties, but mostly stock.
Waited a long time to have a reason to come talk with you guys and I refused to join until i had a sled, good to be here. Cal

Congratulations indeed. My wife thinks the "toy" is a waste of money. Very pragmatic but enjoys the Carrera (as she did previous Boxsters) and knows I really enjoy it. It's only a waste because it isn't necessary, it's a much enjoyed frivolity.

Rep points for having the cojones to act when the Porsche opportunity arose. Well played, sir.

You've inspired me to follow the dream and take the plunge...I'm tired of looking.

Enjoy the ride.

Thanks for the kind words. Next time out i'll take more pics, the one i posted was from dealers lot. Had a bunch of maintenance completed last week as the service history, while stamped in the book, was a little sketchy in my opinion. Considering FU IMS for a vanity plate, or maybe that might curse me ?

Those are the only two i could get resized to the point it would take them.

Anyone else find themselves taking the longest route possible from A to B ?
