EVOM Cold Air Intake Installlation

Need help with Evom air intake install. I have an 02 996 c4s and I'm installing an Evom air intake system. I have attached 2 photos to make it easier to see what I'm talking about; one photo was taken from my car and the other from Sharkwerk's website installed on a c4s. You can see there is a part which I drew a red box around it which is blocking the air duct on the left side of the intake on the left side of the engine compartment. If you compare it with the Sharkwerks photo, the same part is installed with a different type of bracket and is turned around a little. How can I get around that part that's blocking the left side? Where can I get that same bracket? Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can try Fabspeed they make the relocation bracket for their CAI, I am not sure if they will sell you just the bracket but it is worth a shot. The image below shows my install with the relocation bracket.

Thx 2300cc. Do you happen to know what that that part is? It will help me to ask the right question without relying on the pic. Do you have another pic which shows that part itself? It's cut-off in your pic.

It is the air pump relocation bracket. I can try to get a better photo for you tonight if you need, I am at work right now, I just happened to have that one on my phone.

@Romys996. Hey I had ACG San Diego https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/member.php?u=39937 install my Complete EVOMs Air Intake kit installed in my 2004 40th Year Anniversary Limited Edition. Ask for Peter, he's a cool guy. I attached two photos of the finished installed product. Sorry, I am not much of help because I tried the DIY technique and I am better off getting it professionally done, although I hope the photos help.

Where did you get that soft lining around the air filter, I guess I never received one? Or was that a separate purchase?

Thanks. N3llyNova

N3 thanks for the photos. I can see the trick is in the bracket. But I don't where to get it. I bought mine used so I'm not sure if it came with it. I think it is supposed to come with the foam.

@Romys996: Glad to hear your back on track.

I also inquired with Evolution Motorsports regarding my BULB WEATHER STRIPPING FROM 996NA VFLOW (Soft-Lining around the triangular casing of the air filter itself) and within 24 hours they e-mailed me a receipt and tracking # FREE of charge! Genuine folks @ EVOMs. They continue to have my support, thumbs up and "like"!
Yay. Happy Customer.

N3 (Romys996, btw I like that nickname).

EVOMS are GOOD people ... I just put CAI into my car as well .. bought the kit off of ebay and had the same problem with the re-location bracket ... I called them up and explained it to them ... they sent me out a used bracket free of charge! Those guys are legit .... any upgrades to my car will be with EVOMS

Got my CAI installed. I also have an IPD plenum as well. What a difference it made. Throttle response is awesome. Real happy with it.
