Need advise
Hi,
I want to have my 996 C2 lowered, right now i am using Kinesis K18R. I believe the suspensions are stock, instead of changing the rims, what name brand of springs do you suggest for my C2 ? Some other forum member recommend coil overs.
But does it cost more than the springs? I definitely need more advise on this.

skip the srpings waste of money in my honest opinion, coilovers cost more around 2k but the versatility on it is worth it, u can adjust the stuffness if u want it harder and softer and u can adjust the height higher & lower, contact arling 20c4s here inthe board he's in west l.a. close to you... take the jump, everyone that has done coilovers has not regretted getting it...

Lowering your car with springs is definitely less expensive. The down side is that the stock shocks may not be up to the job.
Ideally, you need a matched set of springs and shocks as that will fulfill both requirements, maintaining the car ride and handling while lowering the ride height. This can be done with the ROW or X-74 suspensions offered by Porsche.
The next step will be to get an adjustable coil-over system. Biltstein and H&R seem to be quite popular. There are a good number to chose from. Some of the specialty tuners have their own versions (i.e. FVD, Ruf, etc.)
I have the Bilstein PSS9 kit on my car and I am very happy with it. The car rides well on the street and is very composed on the race track. Prices will depend on the dollar to euro exchange (2-3 k).

To all the experts. thanks for the info. I can tell see most of all suggest using Bilstein PSS9. I believe that's one of the best.
What about Eibach? Does anyone use that for porsche, my brother in law mentioned it once, but that sounds to me thats for imports like japanese cars.
