If the gun didn't screw up on the last coats I'm sure it would have come out great. But reading more into it,you can't wash it with regular microfiber towels, you need a special towel blah blah. I thought it was a cool thing to try,but def a cheap way out from wrapping. I am going to practice wrapping on some old body panels then do my truck over,we'll see how that goes. If anyone is going to try this i suggest using a regular auto paint gun and not the wagner.

If left for along time, it will damage the clear coat and results of clear coat discoloration (yellowing) I've seen it happen to my friend.

He had to repaint his hood.

Yes it doesn't protect the paint very well. Although my clear wasn't damaged (after 4 months of use) it took two clay bar jobs (weeks in-between) and 6 coats of wax to become nice again. I would say 18 hours of clay/wax/washing over the course of two months in the summer....I wouldn't do it again unless the car was a heap!

I don't see how it could protect the paint well when you have to mix this stuff with paint reducer/thinner to apply it. I would think that would be harsh enough to eat into the paint somewhat.

BTW, I've seen ads on Craigslist for the Plastidipping service. Pretty scary...unless you have a $500 Honduh.

Lol yeah tell me about it. You don't have to use thinner, I used the Home Depot spray cans (this was before Dipyourcar got big).

I'm sure a harder metal with out clear coats should be fine, so long as they are very clean. I could only imagine the damage if they have break dust and it is covered for so long.
