Front kit protection

I have a 99 911 Cab that I just had the entire car painted and added the GT3 kit all around. the problem is I drove the car for 10 miles and now I got alot of road chips on the front. How do i protect this or delay the degression? I assume there ia pastic type of covering to add if that is the best method. Is this the best method?

How did you get rock chips on your car that quickly? I drive in Colorado - sand country USA - and have never seen anything like that short of driving behind a sand truck. You can wrap your car or use the clear-bra (which I would have had installed by the body shop that did the new paint job).

The solution is a clear bra. With that said, it has been my experience that driving in excess of 80+ on CA freeways is a recipe for rock chips. Done it in both my cars resulting in rock chip bumper galore.

Has the paint cured? Did the shop put enough "hardener" in the paint? As I understand it, the paint formula for applying on to plastic is different than applying to metal.

wouldnt softer paint be better for rock chips ? i would think hard paint would chip, soft paint would have some 'give' to it, i guess if you are behind a truck that kicks up a bunch of rocks then theres not much you can do about it

you need a clear bra, you will probably have to wait a few weeks before getting it though, i was told to wait 4 weeks for the paint to cure before getting mine, was well worth it though, paint looks brand new over a year later

With time clear bra turns yelowish, I had an issue with mine when I purschased my car, that I ended up removing it and now looks much cleaner on a Carrara White paint, although I am concidering putting it again at some point.
