The Comeback

Ok supposed to pick up the Porsche today from Jim Ellis Porsche Bodyshop, hope it all goes well. The damage includes a slightly bent subframe on the right rear and the impact caused both rear quarter panels to buckle slightly. Jim Ellis said the repairs went well including the paint job, the frame pulled back to specs. per Porsche standers. I WILL BE THE JUDGE OF THAT!!!! Just need to look like the last two photos again, pre accident.

Hopefully they used a Cellette frame fixture to check the frame alignment. At 1 time it was the only brand authorized by Porsche, there may be others now. You should demand a 4 wheel alignment with a printout of the final alingment specs before paying them & picking up your car!!

Ok update...... picked up car Weds. late afternoon, looks great so far. Jim Ellis is one of only two bodyshops in Atlanta that is certified and licensed to work on Porsches, and they display their credential openly in the lobby. I saw the platform in which they used to measure the frame, pretty cool stuff. While I was there they also had R&B singer Uhser's Carrera GT in there getting his front bumper repaired in which they told me it's not the first time he's dropped his ride off for repairs!!! Looks graet so far thou, Hey if it's good enough fo Usher then it's good enoungh for me.

Nope actually that last pic of the rearend on the post was pre accident. The outcome however is just the same, sofar the body work done this time by Jim Ellis is very good. My father actually used the same bodyshop a year and a half ago for his repairs on a '02 tt and it also came out great. I don't know I guess people like running into Porsches....DAMN haters.....

Make sure you get extra money for depreciation from the insurance claim, especially if your car has not been in an accident before..

Yep!

When you're ready to sell or trade this baby in & someone checks out the car fax...few people will want to touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Depreciation after an accident is a big deal.
