The other day I receive notification from my friendly Porsche dealer that my new 996 (SY C2) is due for arrival on Nov 14 - Yeh!

Yesterday though I had a small incident on my motorcycle and it has created a twisted right knee. This has resulted in a medial ligament tear and PAIN

I had my knee placed in an MRI machine today and will discuss my options re: surgery etc tomorrow with my specialist.

Knowing my luck I will require some surgery and probably will not be able then to drive my new C2 out of the dealers showroom on Nov 14 - Yikes....(maybe the standard cruise control will come in handy)

 

Should not be to bad. I had ACL reconstructive surgery on my right knee. I think I was out of the driver seat of my 5 speed BMW for maybe 1.5 weeks... YMMV

 

I'm sure you must have a couple of real good friends that would be more then happy to volunteer to drive you around in YOUR new Porsche until you feel better
