Rough Roads

The C4S cab is astonishing but man am I getting punished on the for @#*&! roads in northern NJ. I may need dental work soon!! Anyone know if the C4S suspension loosens up a little over time? I have given up hope of the roads ever smoothing out over time.

If you were in the GT2 your fillings would be found on the floor mats.

Lightbulb

Try letting some air out of the tires. I run at 32/36 and it makes all the difference in the world.

I have lowered the tire pressure which helped a little, but I am losing the battle. I am seriously thinking of returning the c4s and switching to the c4. This is my daily driver and I want to enjoy it. Has anyone else been in this situation before?

Mumanoff,
The suspension may get more supple over time, but for the most part, I don't think a c4 is gonna be that much more forgiving. I find that mine is not too harsh, but my only real comparison is coming from Ferraris. Then again, I have about 15k on the car, and Dunlops, which fall into the 'comfort' tire category, and not the 'Sport' category that your tires are in.
That said, before you go and trade in your awesome ride, we could setup a back to back comparison, at least from a susp point of view, as I have a 3.4L and not a 3.6....

Personally is am fine with my cab:
- all stock running 18" SO3's.
Coupe is much stiffer. I would drive C4, before making a jump

Drove a c4 and it felt firm but somewhat forgiving while the c4s is hard. A service tech also said the mich. pilots are very unforgiving.....very rigid sidewall. Suggested 17 inch wheels on a c4 would be a substantial improvement over the c4s. I will be test driving again.

don't go with 17s...stay with your 18s and get different rubber...17s on you c4s would look bad...

Drove the C4S coupe and found it softer than the C4S cab. I think they made the cab TOO stiff, bumps are really jarring although the car stays on track. Will try the coupe one more time. With these roads maybe I need a Cayenne instead.

I'm not sure if this helps but howabout going with the PSS9 upgrade, then turn the **** to the softest setting. I have no experience with the PSS9 but perhaps the soft setting is softer then the stock setting.

???
