Suspension question....
Suspension question....
Is there any advantage to putting the GT3 sway bars on the stock C2 suspension. I was thinking of incrementially doing my suspension. Sway bars and then deciding on Pss9 or X74 or whatever.

The impact of sways on all of the cars I've had was quite noticeable. So I don't see why the same case can't be said for our narrow body p-cars. I'm goitg to do GT3 sways in the near future. I've heard from someone who's done it that we'd have to get new droplinks in order for the sways to fit properly and to avoid creating noise.
I can't wait to feel the dual impact of my PSS9s with the adjustable sways when I do decide to do it........

I installed the gt3, 5 way adjustable sway bars, front and rear. They do make a noticeable difference and are well worth the money if you enjoy pushing it on curvey roads. I have about 1/8" clearence so I choose not to use drop links and experienced no problems. The pss9's are great and also make a noticeable difference. Also installed a front strut brace. I think the these three mods go well together and would definitely recommend them. For me, it was hard to imagine the car handling any better than it did when it was stock, but trust me, night and day.
Did you do all 3 at once or did you put the sway bars, then pss9 then brace or what order and how long inbetween.
I'm just about to drop my car off to get the GT3 bumper painted, and my CayenneS comes in in about 2 weeks so I want to wait till after summer for the PSS9 (I almost bought the X74 suspension yesterday, but the deal fell through so I guess I was meant to have PSS9). However when I sell some of my old parts from my C2(bumper, engine cover and a bunch of interior items), I should have atleast $500 bucks for sway bars, so I can justify that.

That's good motivation to get thoses extra parts sold and it is well worth the money, but like I said, only if you drive your car the way it was meant to be driven will you trully appreciate the difference. I did the pss9's first then a couple weeks later added the gt3 sways and the front strut brace.

Corey,
I only did the Pss9 and debating to have the sways bars done also. Bilsteins made the pcar so much more enjoyable.
I'm patiently waiting for the pics of the bumper with lip. I'm up to something myself and just waitng for delivery of some parts. I'll keep you posted.

PSS9's are being installed while the car is at the "plastic surgeon". I was considering the sway bars also. Are the other choices out there better/worse than the GT3 sway bars? Also for the occasional spirited ride guy, are they a worthwhile mod? Do they allow you a to run a softer dampening rate on the PSS9's while still maintaining great handling?
