Hi guys,

I'm in the process of converting a 2002 996 C2 from gas to electric. I've got all the gas components removed, and was able to fit the electric motor to the existing automatic transmission.



When I start the car, put the car in drive or reverse, then spin the motor, the wheels do not turn. The wheels spin freely when turned by hand.



I've hooked up the shift cable and the electrical cable to the trans. I am also idling the motor at 700rpm before shifting into drive. Am I missing something else important?



Do I need to fake out the engine RPM sensor before the transmission will engage? I also saw a vacuum input as part of the cooling system - is that required?



In the console, I do have some engine error lights for oil level, coolant temp, and generator not working - do I need to fake those out or are they just nuisance?



Any other things I should check/try?

Great work!looks like a one of a kind 996. Do you this kind of conversion for a living? what was the overall cost?Props for this incredible and complex undertaking.
