K&N air filters should be removed, cleaned, and oiled every 2-3 oil changes for proper performance.

I anyone concerned with the fact that these filters require oil to trap particles. Now if you have to lightly or under oil these what's going on in the engine. Is the bragging of 7HP worth this....I think not my friends. Put some stickers on it like it's a civic and that should take care of it. LOL

I know it's been talked about.

What's your input on intake. What's the best intake? Throw some brands, I don't know much on brands.
I have the EVOMS... LOVE IT!

I had a K&N CAI before Turbocharging and I didn't like it, the K&N Filter ruined 2 MAFS and the horsepower gains are so tiny. I recommend using your stock air box and replacing the stock filter with a "DRY" high flow replacement.

Make sure to check our Fabspeed Air Intake for your 996. We have a cold air upgrade kit for it which makes a nice improvement for improved engine breathing and a little sound. We also have a Competition Intake for the car which makes more power, torque and sound across the RPM band. This intake is perfect for anyone who is looking for maximum HP and TQ on their car and much improved intake sound. Here are some details on it below and video showing the intake.

FabSpeed competition air intake, hands down. It's quality, and well designed ie. it's almost a straight shot in, if you look at K&N the tube bends twice, plus the K&N walls are thicker (smaller indide diameter). Fabspeed is smooth inside and will move more air. Plus it's carbon fiber.

If you decide on the K&N injen makes a dry filter which fits it.

But, you'll be better served with the Fabspeed.

Hi Szymon, we currently don't have a video of just the Air Intake on the car but we are working on getting one on the next install. The sound is very noticeable and very nice when going through the RPM range and at high RPM's. You can hear the suction of the air on acceleration.

Hey Zook, Where to get Dry Syntamax Filter? I have the stock EVOM filter that needs to be oiled.
