Given that I have built a few cars from scratch, yes its not realistic if you are asking these types of questions.

Unless you can do a swap like this yourself your going to be out more cash then doing it with a factory remain motor or even cutting your losses and going out and getting something with the power that you really want.

I was originaly looking into the ls swap a while back when i needed a motor rebuild but the swap kit complete is over $6500, and a built ls3 long block 418cid through texas speed is about 8500 plus accesories and instal unless you plan to tackle the project.

They might be able to help you find an engine to fit. Also, if you have a non-working engine in the car now find a place like engine lab that re-builds them.

If I were in your shoes, I'd have a lawyer all over this.
