Traded Cayman S for 991 and now adding rims

I just picked up a car I have dreamed about getting since I was probably 5 years old. I traded in my Cayman S at Park Place Porsche in Dallas for a 911!

I purchased my Cayman S (Cayman Kardashian) in 2007 and enjoyed her for 8 and a half years. Here are some photos of both cars.

Right now the 991 is at EVS Motors getting the royal treatment including rims, suspension, detail, clear bra and tint.

I can't wait to get her back!

Congrats!!!! White looks great! Yes, we need more info: what wheels/suspension mods/etc you are getting done.

And of course, pictures when it's all done!

Mods

Hi guys,

The 991 is a C2 with the following options:
PDK
Bose
Premium Pkg
PSE
Sunroof
Power Steering Plus

So far the mods include the de-badge for the 911 emblem and the clear led side markers.

The rims I am getting are Vossen CV3r and the springs are TechArt.

Hopefully I will be complacent and not feel the need to do anything else. I am going to for a "OEM plus" look vs a full-out modded tuner car look.

I read everything possible on the forums for springs and was debating between the H&R and TechArt but the TechArt springs seem to have the closest to OEM ride quality. Since this is my DD, I wanted it to be as comfortable as possible.

Both the Cayman you traded in and the 911 are beautiful... Congrats on the new car, I love the white.

Just curious ... what is the reason you are swapping out the springs ?

Also how do you like the 911 compared to the Cayman, I know you just got the 911 so maybe this would be a better question after you put some miles on it but so far what are your impressions.

Thank you EVS

I just got my car back from EVS. I could not be happier with the rims, tint and stance. I stuck with the stock wheel size and think they look great with the drop. I was wanted to minimize wheel gap without affecting the handling and ride quality. From what I can tell so far the TechArt springs achieved this.

I will report back on Cayman vs 911 differences when I have more time with the 991 as a daily. For now, here is a pic. Let me know your thoughts!
